Thimpu Estate

Accommodation will be provided by Bhutan Trails for each night of your stay in Bhutan, and will be included as part of your daily tariff.

Depending on your interests your central ‘base’ for your stay in Bhutan is most likely to be Bhutan’s Capital city of Thimpu. Your accommodation in Thimpu is situated on a family estate nestled amongst the forest overlooking Thimpu City in one direction, and the Babesa Valley rice fields and Thimpu River in the other.

You can take a short stroll around the estates gardens, flowerbeds, and waterfalls or take a few minutes walk down the road and explore Bhutan’s National Botanical Gardens.

Alternatively, you could just relax under the trees in one of the estates hammocks. Backing onto a protected natural wilderness park, the estate is frequently visited by a wide range of Bhutanese bird life. Some of our more avid bird watching guests have identified over 30 different species within the grounds. These include the Kalij Pheasant, White-throated Kingfisher, Himalayan Swiftlet, Oriental turtle Dove, and the rare Booted Eagle.
